Katies Korner Childcare provides each child with a flexible, loving, and stimulating environment that encourages them to grow at their own pace emotionally and socially. Activities and equipment that will facilitate this growth are introduced as each stage of development is recognized.
Children are encouraged to become risk takers but we recognize that each child becomes independent at their own rate. It is our responsibility to provide a safe place to nurture the development of independence.
We believe that ‘play’ is a child’s ‘work’ so we create a child-centered environment with a program designed for self-teaching, discovery-oriented play, and provide freedom to explore which includes opportunities to discover, and develop respect for, nature.
Our space is constantly reevaluated and maintained to meet the needs of the children.
